I am a stay-at-home mother to 2 wonderful teenage boys and partner to the most amazing man I know (minus my dad). Without them, my life would be dull and empty. They give me the strength to be the woman I have always longed to be. It's a wonderful feeling getting to do the things I enjoy. Reinventing myself and having the freedom to express myself in various ways makes life fresh and uplifting. Dreaming, designing, creating and sharing the things I love bring me such joy.
I have never met a craft I didn't like. I sew, knit, crochet, bead, scrap, design, paint, draw, photograph. I am also a vintage enthusiast who enjoys spending my free time scouring the antique and thrift stores for new finds with my honey and mom. I have to admit that I have a slight hobnail milk glass and vintage pyrex fetish, (or should I say obsession/addiction?) Admitting it, is the first step. Right?
I have a BFA in multi-media design and spent over a decade working for various agencies both as an in house designer and freelance designer. While I loved what I was doing, I wanted to do more. I have always dreamed of owning my own business. So after much debate, I am taking the leap into the great unknown.
While I don't know what will come of this new business and blog, I am excited and anxious to see where this new path leads me. I want this blog to be a place for me to share my adventures as a creative entrepreneur, inspire others, teach what I know and learn what I don't. I hope to meet other creative individuals like myself and build strong partnerships.
